This multi-purpose auditorium is an important local public venue. The old projection system lacked brightness and contrast. Images became faded and blurry under stage lighting and could not satisfy high-definition live streaming and stage backdrop requirements.

Core client requirements:

1. Delicate picture quality, even color distribution, low surface reflection and outstanding black level for close-range viewing;

2. Impact-proof, dustproof and moisture-resistant module surface for public auditorium environments to reduce accidental physical damage;

3. High refresh rate to eliminate scan lines when filmed by cameras, fully compatible with live streaming and video recording;

4. Multiple signal input support to switch and display PPT, camera feeds and video sources with split-screen function;

5. Modular front maintenance design. Technicians can perform repairs without disassembling the entire screen to reduce venue downtime.

Solution

We recommended the BM1.86-GOB fine pitch LED display as the main stage backdrop screen:

• 86mm pixel pitch with high pixel density. Front-row audiences in the auditorium enjoy smooth, grain-free images;
• GOB Glue-On-Board encapsulation. LED chips are fully covered by protective glue, boosting impact, dust and moisture resistance, perfect for crowded public auditoriums;
• 3840Hz high refresh rate and 16-bit grayscale. Factory cabinet-by-cabinet color calibration ensures stable color performance under stage lighting. No scan lines on camera, ideal for live recording. Leeman LED;
• Lightweight aluminum cabinets with wall-mounted structure to lower wall load pressure. Front-access maintenance allows single module replacement directly from the front;
• Matched professional video processor supports HDMI, SDI and IP network signal inputs. It enables window roaming, split screen and picture overlay for fast content switching during conferences and performances.

The seamless LED video wall measures 6.08m × 2.08m. Every cabinet is pre-calibrated for color consistency before shipment. One-time on-site commissioning greatly cuts down installation time.
