LED display testing and evaluation can be carried out from a number of dimensions, through the data on the quality of the display and performance and other aspects of the measurement. However, the different aspects are data change due to the use of the scene and customer demand, to achieve flexibility and achieve the best results. The following are some of the main measurement dimensions and ways:
1. Screen View:
1)Brightness:
Use a luminance meter to measure the brightness of the display at different brightness settings. Performance under different ambient light conditions needs to be taken into account. Typically expressed in cd/m² (candelas per square metre), the higher the brightness, the better the visibility of the screen in bright light.
Like rental series, if the screen will be used both indoors and outdoors, an outdoor solution is necessary so that we can reduce the brightness of the screen to adapt it to the indoor environment. On the contrary, the indoor series of screens will not be able to achieve the high brightness required for outdoor environments.
2)Contrast Ratio:
By displaying both full black and full white images, the black and white brightness values are measured using a luminance meter, and then the contrast ratio is calculated.
Generally the higher the contrast ratio of the screen, the more detailed and layered the image will be.
2. Display Performance:
1) Resolution:
Check whether the actual resolution of the display is the same as the nominal resolution. This can be verified using a resolution test pattern. The higher the resolution, the clearer the image. More and more customers usually require small-pitch solutions in pursuit of a clear screen effect
2)Refresh Rate:
Technicians will use a high-frequency camera or specialised test equipment to measure the refresh rate of the display. A higher refresh rate reduces image tearing and blurring. Currently, our programmes usually have a choice of 3840 and 7680Hz optional.
3)Response Time:
After the screen is assembled, the technician will use professional equipment or software to test the pixel response speed of the display. The lower the response time, the better the dynamic screen display and reduce the drag phenomenon.
3. Screen Watching View:
The viewing angle is a way of looking at the display from different angles (horizontally and vertically) and checking how the colours and brightness change. A larger range of viewing angles means that image quality is better maintained when viewed from different angles.
4. Energy Efficiency:
1)Power Consumption:
LEDFUL has a number of low power consumption product ranges and solutions to meet customer needs, like popular FM series. Low power consumption helps to save energy and reduce operating costs.
2)Heat Emission:
There are infrared thermometers to detect the temperature on the surface and inside of the display. Especially in countries with high temperatures, good thermal management can prevent overheating and ensure stable operation of the display. Outdoor FS-PRO series will be a good choice for client’s requirement.
These measurement dimensions and methods help to determine the comprehensive performance and applicability of the LED display to ensure that its performance in practical applications meets the needs.
